We're (Finally!) Pulling Back The Curtain...

"How Exactly Do You Run An Online Travel Business, Anyway?"

Hi Friends!

Earlier this year, I told you I wanted to show you more of my life when I'm not on a plane...and I'll admit, I haven't done the best job.

Until now.

Although travel is arguably my favorite thing to show you, so far, you've only seen the highlights. In reality, a lot of my time is spent behind a laptop working on my business: writing blog posts, editing photos, answering emails, and growing my website into a business that lets me keep seeing the world. In addition to my travel blog, I also work as an editor for a healthcare company.

I won't lie to you: working 2 jobs is exhausting.
(hence why I haven't done a great job at showing you other parts of my life!)

The silver lining? I've learned a LOT about how to run a business...especially when one of them is my own.

Lately, I've started talking about my business more on social media, and quickly realized that many other people have dreamed of starting their own business as well. But many of them don't know what to do or where to start.

That gave me an idea.

5 Controversial Things I Do as A Blogger/Online Business Owner That Have Helped Me Be Successful

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to break down 5 controversial things that I have done (or, currently still do!) as a blogger and online business owner. These are things that have helped me grow my website and allow me to continue scaling my business.

Although I don't fully work for myself, I HAVE been able to monetize my travel blog to the point that it funds my trips. And I consider that a win! So I thought it was time that I share some of my secrets with you.

I'm so excited to pull back the curtain and teach you a bit about what goes on behind the scenes! In the meantime, feel free to respond to this email if you have a specific question - I may just answer it in one of the future emails! ;)

As always, thanks for flying along in this journey with me <3

-Gina

Gina on a Plane - Travel Blog

Oh hi! I'm Gina. I create aesthetic travel guides and itineraries for women who want to see the world (and look good doing it). Additionally, I also coach solo female travelers to feel confident exploring the world on their own. I plan the kind of trips where every stop feels like a main character moment—equal parts iconic, effortless, and very well-documented. Consider me your unofficial travel planner, hype girl, and “should we get another glass?” enabler.

I recently took a trip to Belgium for the first time, and couldn't wait to tell you about it!
