This City COMPLETELY Won Me Over...

Why Can't I Stop Thinking About Amsterdam?

Hi Friends!

I first went to Amsterdam in 2023 after hearing dozens of people tell me it was their favorite city. I'll confess, the first time I went, I wasn't so sure that I'd hype it up that much. Sure, I enjoyed my time and was glad I visited, but to call it my "favorite city" was definitely a stretch.

At least...until my last night there.

Fast forward 3 years, and I came back to the Netherlands for tulip season (if you missed it, click here to read the tulip season post). I stayed in Amsterdam for an entire week and had an absolute blast. So naturally, I updated my 3 Days in Amsterdam itinerary with all the old AND new experiences that made me fall in love with it this time around.

Through the Eyes of a World Traveler: The Beauty of Being a Repeat Offender

As a side note, I'm a huge advocate for being a "repeat offender" when it comes to traveling - that is, someone who visits the same city or country multiple times. Sometimes a city doesn’t reveal itself to you right away. Sometimes you visit at the wrong time, in the wrong mindset, or you simply haven’t learned how to experience it yet. Returning somewhere gives you the chance to slow down, notice more, and build a deeper connection with a place beyond just checking off the tourist highlights - and Amsterdam was the perfect example.
