Have You Ever Thought, “I Have No Idea What I’m Doing With My Life”?

I've been keeping a pretty big secret from you...

On August 1, 2026, I packed up my 3 bedroom house, threw most of my stuff in a storage unit, and moved to Nashville.

BUT WAIT!!!! I didn't permanently move....(at least, not yet!)

Let Me Explain...

Without getting too personal, let's just say that last year was somewhat of a difficult year for me. I had some absolutely phenomenal things happen (like spending a summer living in Barcelona, Spain!) - but there were also some things that left me seriously questioning certain aspects of my current life situation.

The longer time went on, the more I was feeling like I really just needed a fresh start somewhere new. But the problem was, I had no idea where I wanted to go. I had traveled (and fallen in love with) SO many places...and I was really struggling picking just one.

But then I thought...what if I didn't have to pick just one...

I decided to create a year-long experiment for myself where I lived in different cities for 2-3 months at a time. I would experience them like a local: that means finding a gym, a favorite coffee shop, and putting myself out there to make friends.

The best case: I'd find somewhere I wanted to stay.
​The worst case: I'd have a pretty cool life experience (and a few good stories to tell!)

I decided to call this little experiment The Run(a)way Year...

There's a reason behind the name, but honestly, the name is the least interesting part of the story.

The more interesting question is: How did I get to the point where packing up my entire life and moving from city to city for a year seemed like a reasonable solution to not knowing what I was doing with my life?
