It's OCTOBER! Halloween Content Preview, The Run(a)way Year, & more

Hi Friends!

October is my favorite month of the year. The leaves start to change, football is in full swing, and Halloween is everywhere you look! Throughout this month, I'll be sharing some of my favorite Halloween content with you from prior trips. (And for the Creatives out there, I'll even teach you how to do a smoke bomb photoshoot with a smoking pumpkin!)

This month is a busy one for me. I'm a guest speaker for TWO different events, so I have to spend some time preparing to talk about my journey and my travel business. But most importantly, it's my last FULL month in Nashville before I head somewhere else, so I'm trying to cram as much in as I can before I leave!!

So far, I have:

Gone to my first professional soccer game (Nashville SC vs. Toronto FC...and we won!)
Discovered some incredible wine bars, coffee shops, and restaurants
Went to a women's networking event where I got to meet some other really cool entrepreneurs
Saw a show at the Grand Ole Opry with my parents when they came to visit

*I met Rachel the night before at a wine bar, and we ended up going to the soccer game together!*

But, I STILL want to:

Go to a concert (I have tickets to one...can you guess who it is?)
Attend an NFL game (also a hockey game, but NFL for sure)
Check out some Halloween pop-up bars
Go on Broadway! (I know, I know, can you believe I haven't been to Broadway during this trip yet?!)

Where Do Things Stand with The Run(a)way Year?

I'm spending an entire year living in different cities and documenting my journey along the way. I started in Nashville on August 1, and overall, it's been such a cool experience!

I'm currently working on post about what I've learned after living here for 2 months - the highs & lows, what I like and what I don't, and what I've learned about myself so far. I can't wait to share it with you when I'm finished!

One Last Thought...

The other morning, I was drinking my coffee and reflecting on where my life is at since I first launched my website. When I started my travel blog, I thought about how cool it would be to be able to just bop around and live in different cities for a short period of time. Back then, I was working as a pharmacist in a hospital, and didn't have the means to travel and work. I never really thought this idea I had in my head was actually realistic.

Fast forward 4 years, and with a little faith and a lot of hard work, I'm currently doing exactly what I wanted to do!

I say this to remind you that anything is possible. No matter what it is you're working on or wanting to achieve, there's always a way, no matter how unattainable it may seem at the time. I had NO IDEA how I'd end up here when I started my blog - but somehow, I kept putting one foot in front of the other, and now I'm typing this email from an apartment in downtown Nashville!

With 3 months left of 2026, there's no better time to set goals and make plans so you're ready to chase your dreams in 2027. As always, if you need any advice, simply reply to this email.
