Is Giethoorn Village the Ultimate Fairytale Escape?

Hi Friends!

I’ve always considered myself a city girl at heart, so I didn’t expect a tiny canal village in the Netherlands to completely win me over…but here we are!

Up until a couple months ago, I had never even heard of Giethoorn Village. And if you haven't either, I'm honored to put it on your radar.

The second I arrived in Giethoorn, I understood the hype. Think thatched-roof cottages, little wooden bridges, boats floating through the canals, and the kind of scenery that makes you question whether you accidentally walked into a storybook. Not to mention, it's only an hour and 20 minutes from Amsterdam!

Long story short, Giethoorn ended up being one of the most magical places I visited in the Netherlands. If you believe in fairytales, read on to see why you might want to put it on your list...
