A Girl Asked Me if I Was Afraid to Travel Alone for the First Time. Here's What I Told Her...

Hi Friends!

Recently, a friend asked me a question that all solo travelers hear at some point: “Were you afraid to travel alone for the first time?”

Of course, it's a VERY valid question. Solo travel sounds terrifying, especially for someone who's never done it before.

But this wasn't a question I could answer with a simple yes or no. Because the real answer is the story of how I actually started traveling in the first place and became the person I am today: a woman who’s been to 12+ countries by herself in the last 3 &1/2 years and counting.
